How many nappies will I need?

If you plan on using cloth nappies full time on your new born you may find that you will require approx 18-24 nappies.  I used 5x Real Nappy covers and 18x prefold nappies (1xEssentials Pack & 1xTop Up Pack) and that seemed to be fine with washing every day.  I also used some of the Eco Moltex Disposables in the first 4 weeks though for those tired days!

As your baby gets older they will need fewer nappy changes.  I found that I managed with 10 nappies when I changed my eldest child over to cloth nappies at the age of 17 months although some days were hard to get them dried in time to use again!  A good amount to have would be 16-20 nappies.  It is important to remember that most waterproof covers cannot be dried in the dryer (inners/prefolds can).

How should I clean my nappies?

Nappies no longer need to be soaked.  In fact, soaking/bleaching your Modern Cloth Nappies will most likely ruin them!  All you need to do is flush any solids away in the toilet (very easy if you're using Flushable Liners), store them in a dry pail or nappy bucket, then rinse before placing them in the washing machine.  It is recommended to use only 1/2 the normal amount of detergent and to ensure that it does not contain enzymes.  You may like to give your nappies an extra rinse on occasion also.  If you are worried about staining you should find that the sun will naturally bleach out any stains while your nappies are drying on the line.

Loyalty Points

We introduced loyalty points mid 2015 as a way to give back to those customers who return again and again.  With our business being up for sale, we are no longer offering loyalty points and any points you have accumulated will not be valid once we find a new owner so please have a browse and spend your points before they expire!

Your loyalty points balance will show on the second screen of the check out, after you select your shipping option. 

Please note that your loyalty points update after you have paid for your order and it has shipped.  Loyalty points balances will be adjusted accordingly for any exchange/returned items.

We reserve the right to implement an expiry of these points at any time, or change the value of these points, or cease the loyalty points programme at any time.

Loyalty points are not redeemable for cash or transferable between customers.

Some purchases may not be eligible for loyalty points such as special offers or market/expo purchases.

Returns Policy

All purchases, unopened in their original packaging, and unwashed if applicable, are exchangable within 14 days. We do not offer refunds although we are happy to offer you a store credit.  Shipping expenses, in both directions, are not refundable.

If the goods you receive are faulty, we will replace those goods if they are returned within 30 days of purchase. Reimbursement for shipping expenses will be up to the value of the original quoted shipping cost.

After this time returns and refunds are subject to manufacturers warranty.


Laybys can be arranged on terms that suit you with a 20% deposit required to be paid within 3 days of placing your layby order and completed payment to be made within 2 months in your choice of equal weekly or fortnightly payments. 

In the event that you wish to cancel your layby, no money will be refunded but you will be issued with a store credit for the amount of payments received less a Cancellation Fee of 8% of the total purchase price of the initial layby.  This store credit has no expiry date.  Please make your selection for laybys carefully including your specific colours if applicable.


The privacy of your customer data, orders and credit cards are important to us. We will not disclose or sell your customer data to any third party. We will only send you email newsletters if you explicitly opt in.

Credit card details are not stored anywhere on our servers nor in our premises.

Price Quotations

Please note that any prices quoted via email are subject to change at anytime without notice or warning.  In the event of a glitch in pricing or discount codes on any item in our website, we will be in touch to advise you and arrange a refund of your order, or offer alternatives.

Delivery Times

We will process your order within 1 business day following payment in cleared funds. Payment by online banking cannot be checked until the next business day.  Please allow up to 4 days for delivery domestically, or 2 week internationally.

Please note that most stock is on hand although sometimes items will need to be restocked for your order.  If this is the case we will be in contact with you to keep you inform and give you an approximate delivery date for your order.
